Caledon Bandits Lacrosse

If you have ever seen a lacrosse game you know the intensity of the players and also the fans.  I was introduced to lacrosse as a young kid around 6 when my dad bought my brother and I wooden lacrosse sticks.  Dad had played as a kid as well and it was time his 2 sons learned about the game.  My brother and I would spend hours throwing the ball againts any wall we could find whether it was at school or the local fire hall.....Even times we were told not to.  We brought our sticks everywhere we went and were surprised when people didnt know the game.  I guess back then lacrosse wasn't as well known as it is now.
Over the years Mike and I spent every summer playing.  We have both been on many different teams and eventually my brother ended up playing for Dowling College in Long Island NY.  My parents were very excited that he was able to go to school in the states on a full lacrosse scholarship and I was just as excited to watch him play there.  Lacrosse is such a great sport and the people that are involved with it are extremely dedicated and at the same time crazy about it.....just go watch the Toronto rock play and you will see what I mean.  Professional Lacrosse players dont get paid even a fraction of the amount that the hockey players get but they are just a dedicated and play for the love of the game.
I was lucky enough to have been apart of the Caledon Bandits Lacrosse program and played a number of years with them.  Some of the guys I played with are still close friends today!  If you are looking for some great entertainment go check out a JR C game at the mayfield arena.  See here for more details https://www.banditslacrosse.com/jrc
